Delhi University Sets Timeline For UG Admission Upgrades And Mid Entry

  • 2024-09-02 05:36:06

The Delhi University (DU) on August 30 announced the schedule for the upcoming rounds of allocations and admissions for undergraduate programmes under CSAS (UG) 2024-25. According to the official schedule, the upgrade window will open at 5 pm on August 31 and remain available until 5 pm on September 1. The declaration of upgraded allocations will be made at 5 pm on September 3, with candidates having until September 4 to accept their choices. During the upgrade window, all admitted candidates from Round I and Round II can opt for an upgrade based on their higher preferences. Candidates who choose to upgrade may also reorder their preferred programme and college combinations that are higher than their current allocation.

Candidates allotted an upgraded seat at Delhi University will have their seats activated for direct processing at the college level. These candidates will be required to pay any differential fees, if applicable. Admission to an upgraded seat will be deemed complete only upon successful payment of the admission fees. The mid-entry vacant seats will be displayed on September 7, with applications accepted until September 9. The mid-entry provision from 5 pm on Saturday, September 7 to 4:59 pm on Monday, September 9 permits candidates who either failed to apply to CSAS (UG) 2024 Phase-I or could not complete Phase-II, and wish to participate in CSAS (UG) 2024, to do so by paying a non-refundable Mid-Entry fee of Rs 1000.

Candidates who were unsuccessful in Round I and/or Round II due to incorrect subject mapping or failure to meet Program-Specific eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to rectify their subject mapping and modify their preferences during the Mid-Entry period. Additionally, candidates not admitted to any program following the Mid-Entry declaration will be able to revise their preferences from 5 pm on Saturday, September 7 until 4:59 pm on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Candidates wishing to be considered for the third round are advised to review the vacant seat matrix and select their preferences meticulously. Preferences submitted by the closure of the Mid-Entry window at 4:59 pm on September 9 will be taken into account for subsequent allocations. Third-round allocations will be based on candidate data available as of 5 pm on September 9. Thus, it should be noted that the cut-offs and ranks for the third round will not correspond with those from previous rounds.
