The ‘AU Fest-2023’ of Arunodaya University (AU) concluded on a positive note at the university campus on Thursday. Naharlagun Superintendent of Police Mihin Gambo, during his address at the valedictory function, urged students to channel their potential in the appropriate direction to achieve their life goals. Congratulating the students who excelled in various competitions over the four-day fest, Gambo reminded them to maintain their focus on their academic pursuits. “We often view college or university life as a period in life to enjoy to the fullest. No doubt this stage should be enjoyed, but we should not deviate from our primary objective of achieving success in life,” he stated.

Gambo further emphasized, “College or university life represents the final phase to work diligently and refine our talents and skills for future significant roles in society. It serves as the stepping stone for a successful future. Additionally, Gambo addressed issues such as drug abuse, reckless driving, and the misuse of social media. Higher & Technical Education State Liaison Officer Dr. AK Mishra, also present at the programme, encouraged students to cultivate qualities including determination, humility, politeness, positivity, sincerity, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility as the nation’s future leaders.

In his remarks, AU Pro-Chancellor Dr. VN Sharma highlighted that the university's various platforms, such as AU Fest, are designed to assist students in honing their talents and inspiring them for the future. The four-day event showcased literary, sports, and cultural competitions among four houses: Everest, Shivalik, Nanda, and Niligiri.
