Manipal University Jaipur to Host 10th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition 2024

The Faculty of Law at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) is gearing up to host the 10th edition of its prestigious Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition from November 8 to November 10, 2024. This flagship event, held in collaboration with Ranka Public Charitable Trust and sponsored by ASM Law Chambers and JRA Legal Solutions, will see SCC Online and SCC Times as knowledge and media partners.

Located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, MUJ is a co-educational, private research university recognized as Rajasthan’s first NAAC A+ accredited institution. The Faculty of Law, established in 2014, has grown to over 1100 students, offering programs like BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB (Hons.), LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. The university, ranked 64th in the NIRF Rankings 2024, is committed to providing world-class legal education aligned with UGC, NEP, and BCI regulations.
The Ranka Public Charitable Trust, established in 1980 by the Late Dr. N.M. Ranka has pioneered moot court competitions in Rajasthan and provides scholarships, free medicines, and donations to various philanthropic causes. Justice J.K. Ranka, Retd. Judge of the Rajasthan High Court serves as the Vice Chairman of the Trust.

ASM Law Chambers, founded in 2015 by Mr. Ajatshatru S. Mina, is a fast-growing law firm in Rajasthan, known for its expertise in legal representation, litigation, and business advisory services. JRA Legal Solutions, specializing in real estate law and regulatory compliance, also plays a significant role in this competition.

The 10th Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition aims to simulate real court proceedings, with participants from around the world competing in a highly competitive environment. The competition is open to undergraduate law students, with each team comprising two speakers and one researcher. Registration is open from August 14 to September 14, 2024, with a registration fee of INR 9000 for Indian participants.

Prizes include trophies, certificates, and cash awards for winners, runners-up, best speaker, best memorial, and best researcher.
