MKU holds a massive job fair and 388 students are hired

A massive job fair was conducted at Madurai Kamaraj University on June 16th , 2023 which provided a good beginning for the students. Organised by the Department of Management Studies in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation under the Nan Muthalvan program, the event proved to be a successful employment fair matching employers with suitable candidates.

Many students attended the fair in order to find employment with various companies. In all, 2,692 participants who obtained their UG and PG degrees showed interest in the scheme. This was matched by a great response from the industry, as the job fair attracted 24 competitive organizations.

The process of recruitment was beneficial, as was the outcome of the students and employers. In the interview session, all the participating companies managed to shortlist a total of 388 students. This translates to a high selection rate meaning that the student attendees are of high caliber and possess valuable skills.

The Vice Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University, Professor J Kumar, recognized the success of the event when presenting offer letters to the students. He thanked both the academic staff who organized the fair and all the students who participated in the fair. This positive result demonstrates the university’s focus on career advancement and the institution’s endeavor to ensure that it serves as a link between the classroom and corporate world for students.
