LPU Awards Honorary doctorate to former Australian PM Abbott Over 60000 students graduate at 11th convocation

Feb 29th, 2024: Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated its 11th annual convocation on this day with former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, attending as the chief guest. During the ceremony, LPU conferred an honorary doctorate HONORIS Causa, Upon Abbott, marking the 9th such distinction awarded by the university, according to a press release issued by LPU. The event was a significant milestone for LPU, as it also saw the graduation of the university's first batch of online board students.
Over 60,000 students from various disciplines received their degrees during the convocation. Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal, Lpu's founder and chancellor, presided over the ceremony and addressed the graduating class.in his speech, Dr. Mittal emphasized the university's collaboration with 16 prestigious Australian universities and highlighted LP use recent achievements. He urged the graduates to embrace the spirit of research for a brighter future. The conferral of the ordinary doctorate to Abbott adds to LPU’s tradition of ordering esteemed global leaders with previous recipients, including presidents, prime ministers, and Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. such as his holiness, the 14th.Dalai Lama, the convocation was attended by prominent guests, including the Lovely Group Chairman Ramesh Mittal And many more.
