Chennai: Agnikul Cosmos, a Chennai paste startup recently achieved a significant milestone with the successful launch of its indigenously developed rocket marketing a pivotal moment in India's private space spectrum. This achievement is deeply rooted in the College of Engineering at Arri University, where. The company's CEO and Co-founder Srinath Ravi Chandran, first.nurtured his passion for innovation during his BE in electrical and electronics engineering.CEG, one of India's oldest engineering institutions, has been renowned for cultivating an environment that empowers students to turn their ideas into entrepreneurial ventures.

 

 

Founded by the East India Company in 1794 as a survey school at Fort St George in Madras, CEG, relocated to its current 185-acre campus in 1920. during his time at CEG from 2002 to 2006 Ravi Chandran highlighted the college's flexibility and freedom in allowing students to explore projects beyond their formal curriculum. Helped him delve into projects across various engineering disciplines without restrictions.

The university also encouraged practical hands-on learning, which enabled students to work on collaborative projects across departments. Ravichandran benefited from this supportive environment, which allowed him to pursue his hardware interests and later his passion for space technology. He said that no one questioned his choices and reflected on how his freedom helped him build confidence and explore his interests.
