• They must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, obtained exclusively through an on-campus system. 
• The applicant should not have enrolled in any other postgraduate program during the admission process and must have successfully passed the Distance Education Entrance Test (DEET) conducted by Anna University, Chennai.

Admission Procedure:

Enrollment for the academic programs occurs biannually, with the Academic Year Cycle commencing in July and the Calendar Year Cycle starting in January. The university administers its own entrance examination, known as the Distance Education Entrance Test (DEET), specifically tailored for distance MBA and MCA programs, with tests conducted twice per year.

• STEP 1 – Application Form

To obtain an application form, candidates may visit the Centre for Distance Education at Anna University in person and pay a fee of Rs.650/-. Alternatively, application forms can be procured from any study center by submitting a demand draft of Rs.650/- or downloaded from the university's official website, accompanied by a filled-out form and a demand draft of Rs.650/-.

• STEP 2 – Entrance Test

Admissions are contingent upon candidates' performance on the DEET. A rank list is generated based on scores from the examination, determining each student's eligibility. A separate list is also made for those who took the TANCET exam.

The entrance test consists of:

The exam includes 100 objective questions spread over a two-hour duration, each offering four choices with one correct answer worth one point—and no negative marking for incorrect answers.

• STEP 3 – Document Submission

Following provisional selection, students are required to submit various documents to the university and make necessary payments according to the fee structure. The required documents include:

1. SSLC or its equivalent
2. HSC or its equivalent
3. Diploma/Degree or Provisional Certificate
4. Bachelor's degree examination mark sheets from all years/semesters
5. Transfer Certificate
6. TANCET marks card (if applicable)
7. Photograph card
8. Original Demand Draft for online application

Fees must be paid in the form of a demand draft addressed to "The Director, Centre of Distance Education, Anna University," payable in Chennai.

Completed applications should be sent to "The Director, Centre for Distance Education, Anna University, Chennai 600 025" via post or in person and must arrive before the deadline.

• STEP 4 – Admission Confirmation

Eligible candidates will receive a counseling call letter. To confirm admission, candidates must participate in the counseling process. Selection will be based on TANCET/DEET scores and specializations assigned according to each candidate's preferences.

Fee Structure:

• The total cost of the Distance MBA program at Anna University amounts to INR 56,150 and can be paid via four installments. An initial payment of INR 18,650 is required during admission, followed by three subsequent payments of INR 12,500 each semester. 

• For candidates residing outside the state, an additional recognition fee of INR 400 is applicable. 

• The aforementioned fees cover a refundable caution deposit of INR 5,000. All payments must be made through a demand draft in favor of "Director, Centre of Distance Learning, Anna University" in a formal manner.

Scholarships:

The institution does not provide any form of financial aid or scholarships to its students; however, it waives the tuition fees for those with physical disabilities. To avail of this benefit, students are required to submit a valid certificate from the Chairman of the District Medical Board in the format specified on the university website or obtainable through the CDE Office.
